About the Event
The Central Arkansas Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring an art competition for students in Kindergarten through College to celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table. The art can be a sculpture, canvas art, or drawing and must represent the periodic table or an element within the periodic table.
Each school can submit up to three entries. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention prizes will be awarded by the local section in K-6th, 7th-9th, 10th-12th, College categories. Entries will be judged on: artistic merit, originality, creativity, and neatness.
Entry Submissions: Submissions must be received by the local section by 4:30 PM on Monday, December 2nd. Art must be mailed to Dr. Faith Yarberry at 201 Donaghey Ave, Laney-Manion 205, Conway, AR 72035.

All submitted art will become the property of the Local Section of the American Chemical Society. Submission of art constitutes consent to use winner’s names, likenesses, and entries for editorial, advertising, and publicity purposes.
